Thom Yorke debuted a new solo song, reportedly titled “Space Walk,” at the 2026 Ivor Novello Awards on Thursday, May 21st. In addition, he played an acoustic version of Radiohead’s “Jigsaw Falling into Place.” Watch the performances below.

During his emotional performance of the piano-based “Space Walk,” Yorke revealed its contemplative lyrics: “In these moments, when you float/ A choice that is no choice at all/ Soon you’ll be high above the Earth/ But today will be along soon.”

The ceremony saw Yorke inducted into the Ivors Academy by Harry Styles, after which the Radiohead frontman delivered a fiery speech about the state of the music industry. The debut of “Space Walk” comes after Yorke’s bandmate Ed O’Brien teased that Yorke has a new solo album “coming out later in the year.”
