Slayyyter has shared a new single titled “i think he’s got a girl,” offering another glimpse of her fourth studio album wor$t man in america.
While many of Slayyyter’s recent tracks have been heavy, throttling bangers, “i think he’s got a girl” finds her in a more introspective and vulnerable zone. It tracks the immediate aftermath of when she discovered her partner was cheating on her with another girl — one who’s “rich and from Manhattan” — and sees Slayyyter pair this sobering realization with a dreamier, grungier sonic palette. The song serves as the inverse of her previous track “UNKNOWN LOVERZ,” and, with its guitar-forward chorus, employs a more moody, emotional, and wounded perspective than her usual fare.
