Nickelback have announced their 11th studio album, ‘Everything Under The Sun’ – listen to new single ‘Rattle The Cage’ below.
The Canadian band will release the follow-up to 2022’s ‘Get Rollin” on October 30 via Virgin Music Group. Pre-order/pre-save here.
“This album has every side of the band on it,” explained frontman Chad Kroeger.
“There are songs that hit as hard as anything we’ve ever done, songs that take chances, and songs that remind us why we’ve been doing this together for so long.”
Speaking about the explosive lead track from the forthcoming LP, he continued: “‘Rattle The Cage’ felt like the perfect way to kick the door open – it has the energy we’ve been feeding off every night on stage, and we can’t wait for people to hear it.”

The blistering, heavy rock tune, featuring US guitarist John 5, boasts some massive guitar riffs as Kroeger barks: “Screaming ’till we know that they can hear us down in hell.”
Fans can expect to hear “the complete spectrum of what has made Nickelback one of the biggest rock bands in the world” across ‘Everything Under The Sun’, per a press release.
It’ll feature “towering arena-ready anthems” as well as “reflective songwriting, undeniable melodies, massive guitars, and the unmistakable chemistry that has defined the band for more than three decades”.
The album also marks Nickelback’s first release with Virgin Music Group.
Virgin Music Group President, North America, Jacqueline Saturn, commented: “Nickelback have built one of the most remarkable careers in music, and it’s a huge honour for everyone at Virgin Music Group to work alongside a band with such an enduring legacy and global impact.
“We’re thrilled to partner with them as they begin this exciting new chapter and can’t wait for fans to experience ‘Everything Under The Sun’.”
A tracklist for the record has not yet been revealed.
‘Everything Under The Sun’ comes on the heels of the group’s acclaimed documentary Hate To Love: Nickelback, and the record-breaking ‘Get Rollin’ World Tour’ – the fastest-selling and highest-attended tour of their career.
Earlier this year, Nickelback joined forces with Don Broco for a thunderous new song called ‘Nightmare Tripping’.
Nickelback last spoke to NME in 2024, as part of our ‘Does Rock ‘N’ Roll Kill Braincells?!’ series. Here, bassist Mike Kroeger told us about the Hate To Love… doc: “With a dearth of real information about Nickelback, it’s been up to the media to compose their own narrative, and this is our opportunity to tell our own story from our perspective.
“A lot of the negativity around us was our fault for not sharing our truth because we were too busy writing, recording and touring.”
