EXCLUSIVE: Three have joined Disney+‘s Spaceship Earth pilot to fill out remaining series regular roles: Up-and-comers Maeve Touhey, Ta’imua, and Freddie O’Donahue, who are set to star alongside the previously announced Catherine Laga’aia and Deacon Phillippe.
Character details are being kept under wraps.
The NYC-based Touhey makes her acting debut on the pilot, in which a mission to avert an imminent global cataclysm goes awry, leading a small band of teenagers from Earth’s past and future to join forces to confront a threat as vast and mysterious as time itself.
Inspired by the Disney World EPCOT attraction of the same name, the pilot is written by Jason Fuchs (IT: Welcome to Derry) and Michael Waldron (Loki) and hails from 20th Television. Fuchs is showrunning and exec producing via Five Ten Productions, alongside Waldron, pilot director Lee Toland Krieger, Adam Fishbach of Fishbach Productions, and Adam Fasullo of Anomaly Pictures.
