The term refers to the proliferation of blue dots on Ticketmaster seating charts, indicating an abundance of unsold tickets at a given show.
Lily Allen was among those who caught the bug this year, having been forced to downsize several venues on the fall leg of her North American tour. Fortunately, she’s taking her diagnosis in stride: for Halloween, she dressed up as a Ticketmaster seat map full of blue dots. “Never beating the allegations,” Allen wrote in a caption accompanying photos of her costume.
