Holmes Upped To Series Regular On Prime Video’s ‘Overcompensating’ Season 2; Tom Francis, Aisha Dee & AnnaSophia Robb Join As Recurring

Holmes has been upped to series regular on hit Prime Video show Overcompensating Season 2.

Production is underway on Benito Skinner‘s second season, with Connie Britton and Kyle MacLachlan among the guest starring and recurring cast returning.

Holmes, who stars in Hacks and Welcome to Flatch, plays Carmen’s hilarious roommate Hailee and has been promoted. She joins returning series regulars Benito Skinner, Wally Baram, Mary Beth Barone, Adam DiMarco and Rish Shah.

Joining the cast as recurring in Season 2 are Tom Francis, Aisha Dee and AnnaSophia Robb, playing Declan Bishop, Naomi and Chels, respectively. Recurring and guest actors reprising their Season 1 roles include Britton, MacLachlan, Lukas Gage, Andrea Martin, Julia Shiplett, Nell Verlaque, Danielle Perez, Yasmine Sahid, Boman Martinez-Reid, Tomaso Sanelli, Austin Lindsay. Season 1 co-ep Patrick Regan also joins in the guest role of Preston.

Overcompensating Season 1 was a buzzy hit for Prime Video. The show from A24, Strong Baby and Amazon MGM Studios is a college-set ensemble comedy about the chaotic journey of Benny (Skinner), a closeted former football player and homecoming king, as he becomes fast friends with Carmen (Baram), a high school outsider on a mission to fit in at all costs.

Overcompensating is created, written, and executive-produced by Skinner. Scott King serves as showrunner. Jonah Hill, Matt Dines, and Ali Goodwin executive produce for Strong Baby. A24, Josh Bachove and Daniel Gray Longino executive produce along with Charli XCX.
