EXCLUSIVE: Eliot Glazer, who starred in Comedy Central series Broad City and knows nothing about sports, is launching a sports podcast.
Glazer is going to be helped in this endeavor by someone who does: Charles Barkley.
Barkley’s Round Mound Media has teamed up with ChangeUp Productions, led by Tracker star Justin Hartley, to produce sports comedy show So U Think U Can Sports?.
It comes from Lemonada Media, which is behind shows including Fail Better with David Duchovny, This Life of Mine with James Corden and Confessions of a Female Founder with Meghan Markle.
The series will premiere this fall and will see Glazer, who was a co-exec producer on the recent iCarly revival, interview legendary athletes, including Barkley, current players, coaches, team owners and other sports figures, to finally ask: what’s the deal with sports?

ChangeUp’s Hartley, Julianna LaRosa and Sofia Pernas will produce alongside Round Mound Media’s Barkley and Marc Perman, with Land Romo and Glazer.
“We couldn’t be more excited to team up with Lemonada, Charles, Marc, and Eliot for ChangeUp’s very first podcast,” said Justin Hartley. “Comedy and sports go hand in hand, and Eliot is the perfect host to bring these two worlds together.”
“With Justin and the ChangeUp team as quarterback (football), it was Charles and Round Mound who got our project across the finish line (track). I’m so grateful to Lemonada for the chance to step up to the plate (baseball), give it my best shot (hockey), and really stick the landing (gymnastics). I still need one for golf,” said Glazer.
“This was one of those concepts where we immediately knew it would be comic gold. I remember audibly laughing at some of the initial script ideas,” added Stephanie Wittels Wachs, CEO of Lemonada Media. “Bringing together two of the biggest genres in entertainment, sports and comedy, definitely makes life suck less.”
“Sports is everywhere, our culture is flooded with opinions, predictions, analyses, and Monday morning quarterbacking. What’s been missing until now is a show hosted by a personality with an almost shocking lack of sports knowledge. And we found that guy. Round Mound Media is honored to be partnering with ChangeUp Productions and Lemonada on what will be the most entertaining sports show since Charles Barkley joined Inside the NBA,” added Marc Perman, co-founder of Round Mound Media.
