Outer Banks is coming back to Netflix for one last ride.
Netflix dropped the first teaser and first look images of the mystery, action-adventure drama’s fifth and final season Thursday morning. It’s set to drop on the platform on Aug. 20.
Tensions and emotions are high for the OBX gang in the first nearly one-minute-long teaser. “Let’s go get this son of a bitch,” Chase Stokes’ John B says into the camera before a slew of action-packed sneak peeks of the upcoming season play.
“Season five finds the Pogues at their absolute breaking point following the tragic loss of JJ in Morocco,” the season’s synopsis reads. “Stranded far from home and mourning the heart of their crew, they’ve lost the Blue Crown and continue to face a gauntlet of familiar threats.’”
The synopsis continues, “With Chandler Groff still at large, Dalia and the Corsairs closing in, and the Kooks ensuring the Pogues have no home to return to, John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope and Cleo must rely on their scrappy instincts — and an uneasy alliance with Rafe — to keep from falling apart for good. Their mission is now a desperate race to reclaim their future and finally win the freedom they’ve been chasing since the beginning. It’s the Pogues against the world as they seek to avenge their best friend and bring it on home… one final time.”
Stokes stars as John B., joined by Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron, Madison Bailey as Kiara, Jonathan Daviss as Pope, Carlacia Grant as Cleo, Drew Starkey as Rafe, Austin North as Topper, Fiona Palomo as Sofia, J. Anthony Crane as Chandler Groff and Cullen Moss as Shoupe to round out the cast. Jonas Pate, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke serve as the show’s creators and executive producers.
