Broadway-Themed Outdoor ‘The Festival’ Sets Line-Ups With Audra McDonald, Christopher Jackson, Adrienne Warren, ‘Rent’ Cast Reunion & Many More

The Festival, the inaugural three-day outdoor Broadway-themed event along the Hudson River about 90 miles north of New York City, has announced its line-ups with performance rosters that include Christopher Jackson, Adrienne Warren, Alex Newell, Mandy Gonzalez, Reeve Carney, Lauren Patten and a 30th Anniversary Rent reunion featuring nearly the entire original Broadway cast.

The event, taking place August 14–16 at the historic Hutton Brickyards in Kingston, New York, is billed as a first-of-its-kind celebration of Broadway designed as a destination event with a three-day line-up of Broadway artists. The event will be choreographed by Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell and Jon Rua, and directed by Mitchell and D.B. Bonds.

The Festival will kick off on Friday, August 14, with doors opening at 2 p.m. ET and programming from 3-11 p.m. The lineup for Friday will include Christopher Jackson, Adrienne Warren, Alex Newell, Betty Who, Eva Noblezada, Gianmarco Soresi, Mandy Gonzalez, Reeve Carney, and Solea Pfeiffer.

Friday programming also includes, among other events, Broadway Rave, a dance party, and The Festival Sings Disney featuring Mandy Gonzalez, Adrienne Warren, Alex Newell and more singing their favorite Disney songs.

Saturday’s programming will run from 12-11 p.m. with a line up including Kelli O’Hara, Renée Elise Goldsbrry, Amber Ardolino, Betty Who, Cara Rose DiPietro, Jason Robert Brown, Jenn Colella, JJ Niemann, Lauren Patten, Mandy Gonzalez, Matt Rodin, Mitch Wood, Norbert Leo Butz, Seth Rudetsky, Solea Pfeiffer, Tommy Bracco, and Tyler Joseph Ellis. Saturday’s Rent reunion will feature Adam Pascal, Aiko Nakasone, Anthony Rapp, Byron Utley, Fredi Walker-Brown, Gilles Chiasson, Gwen Stewart, Jesse L. Martin, Kristen Lee Kelly, Rodney Hicks, Taye Diggs, Timothy Britten Parker, and Wilson Jermaine Heredia.

Saturday programming also includes, among other events, Seth Rudetsky and Friends, a concert hosted by Rudetsky; and ’80s Jukebox, featuring Kelli O’Hara, Jenn Colella, Betty Who, Norbert Leo Butz, Amber Ardolino and more singing their favorite ‘80s songs. Also Saturday: Previews of New Musicals, featuring snippets of various Broadway-bound new musicals, giving festival goers an exclusive first look.

Sunday’s programming will run from 12–6:30 p.m. and will feature a lineup including Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Adam Pascal, Anthony Rapp, Betty Who, Denee Benton, Lauren Patten, Patti Murin, Solea Pfeiffer, Talia Suskauer, and Tom Kitt. Also Sunday, among others: Broadway’s Next Generation; Ladies Who Brunch with Patti Murin; and The Big Show: Sunday in the Park, the weekend finale featuring Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Denee Benton, Lauren Patten, Talia Suskauer, and more.

The festival will feature three stages throughout the weekend, plus a fourth stage in the evenings.
