Jonathan Scott, one of the stars of HGTV’s Property Brothers franchise, is moving into the world of talk.
The host, producer and construction contractor is developing a new syndicated daytime talk show with CBS Media Ventures.
Better! With Jonathan Scott will film a pilot episode later this month and the project will be in consideration for CBS Media Venture’s syndication slate for fall 2027.
The talk show will feature interview segments with well-known guests and other lifestyle experts. CBS Media Ventures said it would “inspire audiences with fresh Ideas to live better, all while having fun doing it”.
If the pilot goes to series, it will be the first syndicated daytime talk show to debut in four years amid major contraction in the genre. This year alone, four daytime talker are ending their runs, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Sherri, The Steve Wilkos Show and Karamo, with NBCUniversal exiting the first-run syndication business altogether.

In addition to the Property Brothers franchise and Celebrity IOU, he and his brother Drew run Scott Brothers Global and Scott Brothers Entertainment, while also overseeing home brands including Scott Living and Drew & Jonathan Home.
The Paramount-owned syndicated division produces and distributes series including The Drew Barrymore Show, Entertainment Tonight, Inside Edition, Hot Bench, Flip Side as well as the Judge Judy library.
The company’s syndicated programming slate for the 2026-2027 broadcast season also includes new legal show Adam’s Law, starring Judge Judy Sheindlin’s son.
