Sophia Bush Boards ‘Count My Lies’ In Recurring Role

EXCLUSIVE: Sophia Bush (One Tree Hill, Grey’s Anatomy) has been cast in Hulu’s upcoming TV series adaptation of Sophie Stava’s Count My Lies. She will recur as Allison, a stylish Tribeca architect and mother.

Production on the series, from This Is Us duo Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, is currently underway in New York.

When compulsive liar Sloane Caraway (Shailene Woodley) fibs her way into a nanny position for the gorgeous and charismatic Violet (Lindsay Lohan) and Jay Lockhart (Kit Harington), it seems she’s finally landed her dream job,” the plot summary for the story reads.

But little does Sloane know, she’s just entered a household brimming with secrets that are about to explode — with potentially catastrophic consequences for all.

In addition to Bush, the recurring cast also includes Katherine LaNasa, who will play Sloane’s mother Tracy, and Lou Diamond Phillips as Tracy’s boyfriend Paul.

Count My Lies is Stava’s debut novel. Published by Scout Press, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, on March 4, 2025, it was the GMA Book Club pick for that month.

Aptaker and Berger (The Walk-Up Company) serve as executive producers and showrunners. Stars Lohan and Woodley also executive produce, alongside Scott Morgan (The Walk-Up Company) and Antonio Campos. Author Stava serves as a producer. The series is produced by 20th Television.

Bush most recently appeared in Grey’s Anatomy as the character of Dr. Cass Beckman. She is best known for playing Brooke Davis in the WB/CW drama One Tree Hill and Erin Lindsay in Chicago P.D. Her TV credits also include the CBS series Good Sam opposite Jason Isaacs, Hulu’s Love, Victor, NBC’s This Is Us, Netflix’s Easy, FX’s Nip/Tuck and many more.
