If you’re a pop fan, you know the drill around new record releases: cryptic social media posts, billboards in major cities, sudden website relaunches, album titles that change at the last minute. The buildup is half the fun, and in 2026, some of music’s biggest stars are giving us plenty to obsess over on our list of the 10 Most Anticipated Pop Albums of 2026.

This year will see returns from superstars old and new, many of whom are coming back into the fold for the first time in years. BTS, freshly reunited after completing their mandatory military service, are primed to reclaim their throne as global pop icons with their new album, while Madonna is readying a sequel to her beloved 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor.

2026 will also see a major comeback from Bruno Mars, who will resurface with his first solo album in nearly a decade (along with a massive 2026 tour); Harry Styles, on the other hand, is gearing up for what looks to be a major return following cryptic teases and billboards plastered across major cities.

There are also some more unexpected projects that we have our eye on this year. Charli XCX is trading Brat’s club-ready energy for the gothic drama of Wuthering Heights, while Beyoncé appears poised to complete her three-act series with a rock-inspired finale. Meanwhile, Robyn has begun the rollout of her new album Sexistential, returning after six years with a statement that combines sensuality, philosophy, and other daring themes.

But between the ever-popular surprise album drop or the promise of spur-of-the-moment collaborative records, 2026 will have much more incredible pop music than what’s currently been announced or rumored. We’ll be sure to spread the news far and wide when those new albums begin to show up, but for now, we’re looking ahead at the pop projects that could play a massive role in defining this year. Take a deeper look into our 10 most anticipated pop albums of 2026 below.
