Upon his death 10 years ago, Prince left behind a vault full of unreleased music. On August 28th, the musician’s estate will collect several of these unheard recordings as part of a new posthumous album called Timeless.

Spanning a 10 tracks, Timeless boasts rare and previously unreleased songs from every major era of his career, beginning in 1977 through 2016. The project was initially previewed with “With This Tear,” which was initially composed, produced, and performed by Prince in November 1991, before he famously gave the song to Celine Dion. The second teaser track (streaming below) comes in the form of “Stone,” an unreleased recording from spring 1995, written by Sandra St. Victor, Tom Hammer, and Jules Van Even.

Pre-orders for Timeless are now ongoing.

Along with the the release of Timeless, the 10th anniversary of Prince’s passing is being marked by Prince Celebration 2026, a five-day event taking place at across Paisley Park and downtown Minneapolis from June 3rd to 7th. The musical lineup promises a reunion of Prince’s bands The Revolution and The New Power Generation, plus Chaka Khan, Morris Day, Miguel, Tevin Campbell, Bilal, and more. There will also be exclusive listening sessions for Timeless, as well as archival presentations and conversations with Prince collaborators, “offering unprecedented insight into the newly unveiled Vault recordings and the stories behind them.”
