Masters Of The Universe has arrived in cinemas, but what songs appear in the film? Find out below.
The film is an adaptation of the Mattel franchise that revolves around the conflict between He-Man, the alter ego of Prince Adam, and the supervillain Skeletor, and it is the second big screen version of the story, after the critically maligned Dolph Lundgren-starring 1987 movie.
This version stars Nicholas Galitzine (Bottoms, Red, White & Royal Blue) as Prince Adam, as he returns to his home planet Eternia to take his destiny as He-Man and save his home from the evil forces of Skeletor (Jared Leto).
Idris Elba, Alison Brie, Camila Mendes, James Purefoy and Charlotte Riley co-star, and it is directed by Travis Knight, previously known for Bumblebee and Kubo And The Two Strings.
A version of the film has been in the works in some form since 2009, and it premiered in Los Angeles on May 18. Its general cinematic release came on June 5 and you can check out the trailer here:
The film has been met with broadly positive reviews, currently sitting on a 71 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with a consensus reading: “By the power of Grayskull and with a little help from its self-deprecating script and spirited cast, Masters Of The Universe is a delightful adventure that finds the humanity in He-Man.”
