Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro Among Top Execs Added To Paley Center Board Of Trustees

Disney’s Josh D’Amaro is among a group of senior executives who have been added to the Paley Center for Media‘s board of trustees.

Along with D’Amaro,. other execs joining the board include Liberty Media CEO Derek Chang, Spotify Co-CEO Alex Norström, and Sony Group Corp. CEO Hiroki Totoki.

Additionally, Imagine Entertainment co-founder and chairman Brian Grazer has joined the Paley Los Angeles Board of Governors, as has Publicis Connected Media CEO Dave Penski.

Founded in 1975 by William S. Paley, who built CBS into a major media company, the Paley Center is a nonprofit cultural organization dedicated to preserving media history and exploring media’s influence on culture and society. It hosts a series of events year-round, ranging from fan-focused spotlights on current TV shows to various conversations with newsmakers, along with the annual International Council Summit each fall.

“The Paley Center’s Board of Trustees and Los Angeles Board of Governors have long brought together some of the most influential leaders across media, business, technology, gaming, and entertainment,” said Frank A. Bennack, Jr., former Hearst CEO and chairman of the Paley Center. “The addition of these new members reflects the continued evolution of our Boards and strengthens the Paley Center’s ability to engage with the industries shaping the future of media.”

Paley Center CEO Maureen J. Reidy added, “Each of these distinguished executives stands at the top of their field, bringing unmatched experience, influence, and vision across media, business, technology, gaming, and entertainment. Their expertise and valuable insights will advance our mission and further strengthen Paley’s position as the media industry’s preeminent nonprofit.”

D’Amaro, who became Disney CEO earlier this year, saluted the Paley Center for celebrating “the stories, voices, and innovations that have shaped the media landscape.”
