Yeah, we’re thinking Denzel Curry is back. After recently joining forces with Maxo Kream and JPEGMAFIA, the Florida rapper has announced The Scythe, a new supergroup with A$AP Ferg, Bktherula, TiaCorine, and Key Nyata. Their debut album, Strictly 4 the Scythe, is due out on March 6th via Loma Vista Recordings. Along with the announcement, the group has shared the lead single, “Lit Effect.” Stream it below.

Hearkening back to Curry’s early days as a member of Raider Klan, Strictly 4 the Scythe is said to combine his unique style with “classically gritty Southern sounds and the creative force of each artist,” centering on the core of hip-hop “across eras, paying homage to the South’s great musical legacy” while ushering in a “rising new guard.”

“The Scythe is a family and a group,” Curry added in a press statement. “We still have our respective solo careers, but when we come together, it’s The Scythe.” Pre-orders for the album are ongoing.

Earlier this month, we named Strictly 4 the Scytheas one of our most anticipated hip-hop albums of 2026. It marks Curry’s first full-length project since King of the Mischievous South, one of our favorite rap albums of 2024. He also contributed the title track to the soundtrack for the Jordan Peele-produced 2025 horror film HIM.
