EXCLUSIVE: Quantify has launched international sales on the thriller Blood Behind Us, which will be introduced to buyers at the EFM in Berlin.
One of the last films made by the late actor Michael Madsen, the movie also stars Tanner Beard, Jaime King, Michael Aaron Milligan, Russell Quinn, Ramsey Krull and Katie Leclerc.
Directed by Brendan Gabriel Murphy, the film follows a troubled war veteran drawn back into violence through a motorcycle gang and a fractured relationship with his father, played by Reservoir Dogs actor Madsen in what producers describe as “a raw, commanding final turn”.
Co-written by Keyaunte Mayfield, Murphy and Hart, the film hails from Silver Sail Entertainment, Altered State Entertainment, Privateer Entertainment and Hooligan Dreamers.

Eight years in the making, it survived countless rewrites, ever-changing actor schedules, the COVID pandemic, and the writer, actor, and director strikes — and it still stands the test of time. Sadly, yet triumphantly, this marks one of Michael Madsen’s final films, within a story uniquely told by visionary director Brendan Murphy, a recent recipient of the Tim Burton Visionary Award. Sales firm Quantify is collaboration between Nu Boyana Studios, Dark Matter Studios, Government Island, and Film Forge Media.
