Earlier this year, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds embarked on their first North American tour in eight years. If you didn’t happen to catch any of those dates behind 2024’s Wild God, you’re in luck, as the collective has announced a new album.
Due out December 5th via PIAS, the aptly-titled Live God spans 18 tracks culled from the band’s North American and UK/European dates across 2024 and 2025. The album will be available as both double LP and double CD formats. The final tracklist includes “Papa Won’t Leave You, Henry,” “Tupelo,” “Into My Arms, “From Her to Eternity,” and “Wild God (Live God),” which serves as the release’s first single. Press for the record describes Live God as capturing the “wildly transcendent nature of those unforgettable shows.” Cave himself went on to describe this latest jaunt as an “antidote to despair.” Based on Heavy Consequence’s own pics/coverage from the April 17th show at Barclays Center arena, Cave and the Bad Seeds remain at the peak of their creative and emotional prowess when live and in person.
