8 ounces|225 grams frozen cranberries
¼ cup|60 grams granulated sugar
1 cinnamon stick
1 orange, plus ¼ cup|60 ml fresh orange juice
2 tablespoons vodka
Combine the cranberries, sugar, and cinnamon stick in a small saucepan over medium heat. Using a y-shaped peeler, remove the peel from ½ of the orange. Add the peel and the juice to the saucepan and cook, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and it starts to thicken, about 15 minutes. Add the vodka and cook until almost evaporated, about 2 minutes more. Transfer to a serving bowl and cool completely before serving.
