The third single by The Jack Rolling Dandy’s off of the upcoming EP, titled, “Don’t be a Can’t” is here, and it’s a naughty one.
It’s the rock and roll party hit of the summer, and an anthem for everyone out there who’s dedicated to staying out all night, living off the bare minimum and still making it out alive. Jam packed with bass drops, gun shots, raw guitars, shakers and tambourines for good measure, “Christmas in the Summertime” is going to tear the South African rock scene a new one.
Recorded at Anti-Motion studio’s by the undeniable “King of the Mix”, Dave Grevler, and mastered at Spectre Studio’s in the United States by Troy Glesner, no expense has been spared in getting the absolute best sounding song with the biggest sound to the ones who matter the most, the fans.
Too hot for radio “Christmas in the Summertime” will unfortunately not be playing on any stations near you due to the explicit nature of the lyrics, but will however be burning through speakers in clubs, cars, hi-fi’s and headphones worldwide as of the 4th of December 2013. Available for download on Soundcloud, Facebook, Reverbnation and for anyone on The Jack Rolling Dandy’s BBM network, fans will have it within their grasp for free from the moment it has been released.
Christmas in the Summertime sets a new standard for the quality of rock that we’ve always known should be coming out of South Africa, and we now know can be.
See The Dandy’s live on the 27th of January at Campus Invasion Potchefstroom alongside Fokofpolisiekar, Shadowclub and The December Streets as well as on the 15th of February in Johannesburg at SkyRoomLive.
