What does winning The Masked Singer get you? A spot as a guest panelist the following season alongside Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger, that’s what. Such is the case on a special Tuesday (Dec. 10) outing of the show, where Season 1 champ T-Pain has returned to crack jokes about the contestant’s booties ahead of Wednesday’s semifinal episode.

Yes, the end is nigh, for next week will be the grand finale. The last hurrah. But fear not, for host Nick Cannon informs us that Season 3 will kick off right after the Super Bowl in early February. That’s mere weeks away, kids. We’re never gonna shake this thing.

Colorful Surfer

Fox

Fox trots out a cover of Jamie Foxx and T-Pain’s “Blame It,” which is more than a little on-the-nose. But this is a show where Nick Cannon gets paid millions of dollars to sling every pun you can think of at a camera for an hour, so it’s par for the course. Fox does his little dance break while trilling away, and Jenny sticks with thinking it’s Jamie Foxx under the Fox costume. Nicole admits, “Jamie’s like a good friend of mine. I mean, we’ve had some weekends.”

T-Pain, on the other hand, wonders if Fox might actually be Lenny Kravitz. These panelists clearly don’t know the lane they’re dwelling in.

Leopard

It’s worth pointing out that the audience has become increasingly more disturbing each week as they chant for each contestant and hold their hands in strange, crude configurations resembling the disguised performer they’re gleefully witnessing on stage. It’s like seeing members of a cult gyrating around a ritual circle before the Kool-Aid drops them. Poor suckers.

Anyway, Leopard tosses out clues about being vegan, playing tennis and something or other to do with a motorcycle crash before launching into fun.’s “We Are Young.” He then hints to the panelists, “I was presenting an award on an award show that included one of you. And I was wearing a custom leather outfit that evening.”

Thingamajig

The onstage flirting between Thingamajig and Nicole continues to intensify. I can’t wait until his mask comes off and it’s Sean Spicer under there.

The giant Troll doll belts out John Legend’s “Ordinary People.” T-Pain eyes up the costume and says, “You’re probably hot as hell, because I stuck my fat ass in one of those things.” Nicole coyly adds, “In my mind, it was just the two of us in the room.” These are the reality singing competition critiques we deserve in 2019.

Flamingo

Pink-feathered Flamingo throws out a lot of pop culture references when she states, “Who would have thought that when I was a little girl sitting up in my room with California dreams I would end up here?” She adds, “First, I went from clueless to celebrated,” thereby adding a few more clues to the mix.

After an impressive, soulful rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s “Go Your Own Way,” Ken thinks Flamingo is Hilary Duff (what a fool), while Jenny is still going with The Real co-host and former 3LW member Adrienne Bailon.

Tree

’Tis finally the season where a singing and dancing tree doesn’t look utterly ridiculous on stage. Tree takes on Lady Gaga’s 2011 hit “The Edge Of Glory,” and T-Pain is clearly feeling it. “I love that they’re making all the costumes to where the ass is shakin’ on them,” he profoundly notes.

Tree clues the panelists in that she’s “shared a stage and a standing O with one of you.” Ken replies, “I’ve never gotten a standing O in my life.” Finally, for the first time this year, he’s said something we can believe.

Rottweiler

In his clues package, Rottweiler rambles on about being insecure and needing to meditate every day. He offers up a surprisingly emotional performance of Lewis Capaldi’s recent Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper “Someone You Loved” that brings both Nicole and Jenny to tears.

“I have to take a breath for that one,” Nicole says. “I think it’s the most vulnerable and honest performance you’ve given.”

As a final clue, Rottweiler tells the panel, “I have been on the same list as one of you, and it was not People’s Sexiest Man Alive. Sorry, Ken.”

T-Pain asks, “Is it prison-related? I’ve been on a lot of those lists.”

Eliminated: Someone’s gotta get the axe, and this week the studio audience and panelists decide it’s Tree. Jenny’s track record remains impeccable. She’s the only one to correctly guess that Tree is former SNL cast member Ana Gasteyer. Meanwhile, Ken, who appeared in Fox’s A Christmas Story Live! with Ana just two years ago, never saw it coming.

“I forgot I was in it!” Ken laments, to which Ana replies, “It wasn’t that long ago, Ken!”
