A call for what deputies initially believed was a domestic disturbance in Rancho Cucamonga ended in them finding a victim of human trafficking, and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is looking for the man suspected of trafficking her.
Deputies responded to a hotel in Rancho Cucamonga on Monday, Dec. 2 at 5 a.m. about a disturbance in the area, authorities said. Once deputies learned the 20-year-old woman was a victim of human trafficking, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Human trafficking Task Force was called.
The Sheriff’s Department said during an interview with the woman that they learned she called authorities after she was assaulted by Sethaniel Tyrece Davis, 38, of Los Angeles.
“Davis left the location prior to deputies arriving,” officials said. “The victim sustained injuries because of Davis’ assault and received medical treatment.”
The woman was given victim services before she was released from the sheriff’s station.
Davis hasn’t been located by the Sheriff’s Department and investigators are asking for help in finding him. Investigators also believe there may be additional, unidentified victims.
