Undefeated Ohio State will look to take another step toward completing a dream season Saturday in the Big Ten Championship against Wisconsin.
The Buckeyes have been utterly dominant entering Saturday’s game, putting together a conference point differential of plus-320, the second-highest of any team since 2000 (Oklahoma, 2003, plus-322). Included in that number was a breezy 38-7 win over the Badgers in Week 9.
Wisconsin entered the season ranked No. 20 and may have worked into the College Football Playoff conversation if not for a fourth-quarter collapse leading to a 24-23 upset loss to Illinois in mid-October. That and the loss to Ohio State the following week means even with a win, the Badgers won’t be in a national semifinal.
Ohio State, on the other hand, will be in the College Football Playoff regardless of Saturday’s results. A win, though, especially a convincing one, could secure the No. 1 spot.
