Tuesday the 27th of August 2013 sees The Plastics launch their 8th music video. This time it’s their most recent single ‘Occasional Lies’ that is becoming visualized.

“Occasional Lies” was released to radio stations nationwide in February 2013. The track peaked at number 10 on the 5FM Top 40 in April 2013.

Duran Levinson and Baden Moir, two very talented friends of the band, directed the music video.  Levinson developed the concept along with Moir and The Plastics. Ben Rausch created the visual FX and grading was done by 744 Digital.

“We’re very excited to see the reaction to the Occasional Lies music video. The song has been really good to us and we think the video, although conceptually not directly related to the song, helps to bring out a beautiful visual to accompany the song. We are happy that the video doesn’t really have a narrative because we’d rather you figured that out on your own.”

The Plastics would like to thank all of our friends who let us invade their houses with catnip, and of course to all the stars of the video, the cats!  You were all unique and amazing.

The Plastics would also like to thank DARG, Zenn van Zyl, Gerhard de Kock, Ashley Brown,  Ray-Ban, Scar Hair, Paul Bothner music, Rachelle Crous Publicity and The Clique.

The Plastics are currently working on the pre-production material for their third studio album, set for release in 2014.
