New Music Releases – November 2013

The November 2013 New Music Releases roster is filled with box sets, live DVDs and other exciting items from the biggest names in classic rock history, including Jimi Hendrix, the Who, the Rolling Stones and the Beatles.

Among the month’s highlights are a double-shot of unreleased Hendrix projects — the live album ‘Miami Pop Festival’ and the PBS documentary ‘Hear My Train A Comin.’ The Rolling Stones will chronicle one of the biggest shows of their recent 50th anniversary tour with ‘Sweet Summer Sun — Live at Hyde Park,’ and the Who give their 1973 masterpiece ‘Quadrophenia’ a deluxe box.

More Beatles BBC live recordings are heading your way on Nov. 12, and two weeks after that Black Sabbath share a live home video, ’Gathered in Their Masses,’ from their recent reunion trek. A bounty of limited edition vinyl will also hit your local independent retailers on “Black Friday,” Nov. 29.
