Every year, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving is #GivingTuesday, a nationwide generosity movement aimed at creating an international day of giving at the beginning of the Christmas season.
This year’s #GivingTuesday falls on Dec. 3, and artists, record labels and companies across the music industry are pitching in to help give back.
Below, Billboard has rounded up all the ways music fans can contribute to the eighth annual #GivingTuesday.

WhistlePig Records releases For a Better Life: Benefitting Immigrant Families Together benefit album
WhistlePig Records released a folk-Americana compilation album featuring music from Annie Bacon, Dyrty Byrds, Pete Donnelly, Ryan Trager and more on Tuesday (Dec. 3). One hundred percent of proceeds from album sales will benefit Immigrant Families Together (IFT), a nonprofit organization dedicated to reuniting immigrant families separated at the U.S./Mexico border.
Broadway celebrates with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS social campaign
Shows from across the Great White Way — from Dear Evan Hansen and Frozen to Hadestown and Wicked — are banding together today to help support Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. For #GivingTuesday, social media accounts for all of Broadway’s most popular shows are adding a “donate to Broadway Cares” button on their Instagram Stories, giving theatre fans a perfect way to contribute to the cause.
Lin-Manuel Miranda shouts out his favorite causes
Broadway veteran Lin-Manuel Miranda took to social media on Tuesday (Dec. 3) to share some of the ways his family gives back on #GivingTuesday. A few of the organizations and causes the Hamilton star supports include Centro de Periodismo Investigativo, Repertorio Espańol, World Central Kitchen, RAICES and more. The Ally Coalition launches campaign with Lamba Legal
The Ally Coalition has not one, but two ways to give back this #GivingTuesday. The nonprofit organization founded by Fun. and fashion designer Rachel Antonoff is hosting an online fundraiser on Facebook to support Lambda Legal’s work with at-risk LGBTQ populations, as well as holding a Holiday Auction of past Ally Coalition memorabilia to raise money for fellow nonprofit organizations including Transgender Law Center, Sacramento LGBT Center, Safe Place for Youth and more. The auction will run through Dec. 12.
Billy Porter x PayPal collaboration
Broadway and television star (and king of the Met Ball red carpet) Billy Porter is partnering with PayPal this year to encourage fans to “get creative” in how they donate to charity. While Porter himself will be giving back to The Actor’s Fund this year, he asked fans to consider the many ways they can contribute to their communities, whether through volunteer work, mentoring a child, registering voters for the upcoming election, working at a food bank and more. Sweet Relief Musicians Fund online fundraiser
Sweet Relief, a nonprofit dedicated to helping musicians in need, is holding a fundraiser via Facebook to support its longrunning mission to assist career musicians cover the financial costs of medical treatment, prescriptions, living expenses and more in times of crisis. Sweet Relief’s goal this year is to raise $10,000 towards its ongoing efforts to help give back to those who have given the world the gift of their music.
K. Flay calls for donations to the Loveloud Foundation
Rising LGBT pop artist K. Flay took to social media on Tuesday (Dec. 3) to ask fans to consider donating to the Loveloud Foundation, the organization (and music festival) launched by Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds in 2017 to support at-risk LGBTQ youth in Utah, where youth suicide rates have skyrocketed in the last half-decade.

Little Kids Rock’s challenge for Niagra Cares
Music education nonprofit Little Kids Rock has committed to raising (and matching) $30,000 in donations for Niagra Cares, with the overall goal of $60,000 being put towards training teachers and launching music programs in more than a dozen new schools across the country — thereby provding music education to thousands of young children.
