A man was taken into custody Friday, Nov. 6, after leading authorities on a car chase on the grounds of Van Nuys Airport.

The man surrendered after the car apparently became disabled at about 9 a.m. when it crashed through a fence.

The chase lasted about 20 minutes and led onto runways and taxiways.

According to Fox11, police believe the suspect breached security at a construction site near the airport grounds.
