Yesterday saw the official release of a brand new music video by ISO. The video is for their latest single, NEVER GOING BACK – the first single from their upcoming EP, PASSAGES, set for release in March.
An Enigma Ace Films production, the video was directed by Ryan Kruger and shot by Faheemah Hendricks on a farm just outside of Cape Town in one day. ISO are big fans of Ryan Kruger’s work and have wanted to work with him for a while, so when opportunity presented itself to work together on this video, they were thrilled with the concept he came up with.
The video follows a guy’s journey to become a younger man. The video starts off with an old man on his death bed with not long to live, when something catches his attention. He goes to investigate outside and see’s a higher power in the sky and begins to run. He finds that the closer he gets, the younger he becomes.
The video features four actors, namely Graham Clarke (Stander, Laser Mission, Jesus Christ Superstar, etc.), Sven Ruygrok (Spud), Lance Elliot and Tasco Maddock.
“When I come up with concepts, I always sit with headphones on and play the track load and I start to write ideas down. I knew the track had to have that epic feel to it so I had to think of something that will have that feel to it. Normally as soon as I get the concept in my head I can’t change it as I just picture this concept. The lyrics of the track made me really think of youth from a old man’s perspective. And I think if anyone had that chance to be young again, they would take it without thinking twice.” – Ryan Kruger, director.
