The nominees for the 2026 Grammys were revealed on Friday, including the finalists for Best Rock Album.

This year’s Best Rock Album nominees include Deftones‘ new album private music, Turnstile‘s NEVER ENOUGH, and HAIM’s I quit. Linkin Park have also earned their first Grammy nomination in over 15 years for their post-Chester Bennington comeback album FROM ZERO, while Yungblud caps off his massive 2025 with a nomination for his 2025 LP IDOLS.

Whereas the definition for Best Alternative Album a little confusing, Best Rock Album is more direct: It’s those albums with “at least 51% newly-recorded material” (and is given to the artist, producer, and engineer/mixer). In 2025, the gold statue went to The Rolling Stones for their first album in 20 years, Hackney Diamonds.
