GANGS OF BALLET Releases DON’T LET ME GO To Radio Nationwide

Durban locals, GANGS OF BALLET, have released the second single from their debut album entitled ‘Don’t Let Me Go’ to radio stations nationwide for play listing. ‘Don’t Let Me Go’ comes after the release of their first single ‘Daydream’ in July this year from ‘yes/no/grey.’ – their first full-length album which was released in August 2013.

“Although our heads were separate paths, we gave ourselves, we fused two hearts. We knew tomorrow would be our new day.”

The song depicts the concept of soul mates – two people becoming one and how they exist with and for each other. This is the first single from the band which offers a more acoustic element to its music and judging by the response they have received from the public with regards to the song so far – it features a more instant likability to it compared to Daydream.

The band describes ‘Don’t Let Me Go’ as a feel good, sing-along song. Although the single is quite different than any of their previous offerings, it also features an open sounding chorus, signature to Gangs of Ballet’s sound. All the songs on ‘yes/no/grey.’ are quite different from one another, and the band pride themselves in the diversity the album offers to listeners – there is something on the album for every musical taste and genre.

“We are really excited about this single. It’s one of our favourites from the album and we hope you love it!”

yes/no/grey.’ was recorded with Grammy Award Winning Producer, Darryl Torr at Openroom Studios in Johannesburg and mixed in New York City at the world famous Electric Lady Studios, built by Jimmy Hendrix. The album was mixed by Ryan Gilligan, overseen by the Grammy Award Winning Engineer, Michael Brauer (Coldplay, John Mayer, Dave Mathews Band). ‘yes/no/grey.’ went to no.1 on the iTunes SA Album Charts within the first 12 hours of its release. The album is available at all major music retail outlets nationwide for purchase, as well as at all Gangs of Ballet’s shows.
