Seahawks vs. Vikings pits two teams near the top of the NFC against each other on Monday Night Football. Adam Thielen’s already been ruled out, but most of the other stars look like solid options in NFL DFS action. Our DraftKings Showdown lineup takes a Seattle-heavy approach, counting on Russell Wilson and Tyler Lockett to deliver in tournaments for us.
The Lockett-Wilson stack is supplemented by Rashaad Penny and Jacob Hollister, while we’re still able to fit Dalvin Cook along with Olabisi Johnson at a value with Thielen out.
DraftKings Showdown Picks: Seahawks vs. Vikings
CAPTAIN (1.5x points, 1.5x price): WR Tyler Lockett, Seahawks ($14,400)
We’re not really sure why Lockett is priced lower than Stefon Diggs, but the Lockett connection with Russell Wilson is too good to ignore in this single-game slate. There’s so much floor for Lockett with his shorter receptions, and he has a shot to get over the top a few times, too.
FLEX: RB Dalvin Cook, Vikings ($11,800)
With a Seahawks-heavy lineup construction, we had to make a call between Cook and Kirk Cousins. It didn’t make sense to play Cousins without having room for Diggs, so we’ll take the basically automatic 20 quality touches from Cook.
FLEX: QB Russell Wilson, Seahawks ($10,800)
Wilson is in the MVP conversation for a reason, and it would be silly not to stack him when we use his top receiver as our captain.
FLEX: RB Rashaad Penny, Seahawks ($5,400)
Penny might be popular at this price, although the remaining uncertainty around his new role might keep him from being hammered too hard. No one else at this price has the chance for 12-15 touches.
FLEX: TE Jacob Hollister, Seahawks ($4,800)
We needed to get one more Seattle pass-catcher in this construction (you could play a kicker if you so prefer). Hollister’s price has dropped a bit from a few weeks ago, which wouldn’t have happened if Wilson hit him on an easy touchdown a week ago. So, we’ll take the perceived drop in performance at value.
FLEX: WR Olabisi Johnson, Vikings ($2,600)
Adam Thielen’s already been ruled out for Monday night, so Johnson is a bargain as the No. 2 Vikings WR for at least another week.
