Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will close early as the tandem Anaheim theme parks prepare for a cold and powerful Thanksgiving storm set to sweep across Southern California.

Due to the weather, Disneyland will close one hour early at 11 p.m. and Disney California Adventure will close at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27 and Thursday, Nov. 28, according to the parks’ official Twitter account.

“That doesn’t mean the magic will be any less!” reads the @DisneylandToday account. “Grab your rain gear and join us for some fun!”

Both parks will open at 8 a.m. on Thursday.

A storm out of the Gulf of Alaska is expected to unleash rain and cold winds beginning Wednesday and continuing through Thanksgiving, according to the National Weather Service. Strong Santa Ana winds are forecast to gust to 70 mph. A winter storm warning will be in effect through 4 a.m. Friday, forecasters said.
