“D23 Expo 2022 will be a celebration unlike any other, as we give fans a first look at the incredible plans for the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company,” according to the Disney D23 Twitter account.

The D23 Expo is typically held in Anaheim on odd years. Disney uses the fan convention to unveil new theme park attractions.

D23 previously postponed the Destination D: Fantastic Worlds fan convention planned for 2020 at Walt Disney World in Florida until 2021 due to the pandemic.

“We plan to announce a new date for Destination D later this year and will continue to host exclusive virtual events throughout 2020,” D23 posted to Twitter in June.
