Dave Grohl was feeling extra festive on Saturday (Dec. 7) when he invited one lucky fan to join him on stage during the Foo Fighters‘ headlining set at the Intersect Las Vegas music festival.

Wearing a Santa hat and matching shirt, the man was picked out of the crowd for the honor of shotgunning a beer with the veteran rocker. “Let’s hear it for Santa Claus! I love you Santa. Good thing that was a light beer,” Grohl quipped after giving the fan a hug and vigorously wiping his face with the man’s Santa hat.

While the frontman then proceeded to launch into the Foo Fighters’ 1996 single “Big Me,” the band is currently hard at work on their forthcoming tenth studio set, a follow-up to 2017’s Concrete and Gold.
