The Chargers head to Oakland to take on the Raiders in a “Thursday Night Football” matchup between AFC West rivals.
Los Angeles (4-5) and Oakland (4-4) look to keep pace with Kansas City (6-3) in the division standings and this primetime matchup provides an opportunity to deliver a statement.
Both teams aim to hit their stride as the calendar turns to November and the stretch-run begins in the NFL. The Chargers started the season with a lackluster 2-5 record but have since turned it around by beating the Bears in Chicago and upsetting the Packers at home last week. Los Angeles’ defense has allowed just 27 combined points over its past two games.
The Raiders, meanwhile, are coming off a win over the Lions in Week 9. With four of the next five games coming against sub-.500 teams, Oakland has a chance to keep things interesting in the AFC playoff hunt.
