Broadway’s ‘Glengarry Glen Ross’ Starring Kieran Culkin, Bob Odenkirk & Bill Burr Gets Final Two-Week Extension

The new Broadway revival of David Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross directed by Patrick Marber and starring Kieran Culkin, Bob Odenkirk & Bill Burr has now extended by an additional final two weeks. The final extension means the limited engagement with the current cast will now run through Saturday, June 28.

The production, currently in previews at The Palace Theatre, officially opens on Monday, March 31. The show had previously been set to close June 14.

The extra two weeks would mean that theatergoers might have to wait just a little bit longer to see that very possible all-female cast take over the production once the boys leave. Deadline reported earlier this week that producers and Mamet are seriously considering just such an endeavor.

A production spokesperson said in a statement to Deadline this week: “Over the years there has been interest expressed to both playwright David Mamet and producer Jeffrey Richards about an all-female cast of Glengarry Glen Ross. In fact, there was a reading in 2022 with a female company. At this time, the focus is on the production currently on Broadway starring Kieran Culkin, Bob Odenkirk, Bill Burr, Michael McKean, Donald Webber, Jr., Howard W. Overshown, John Pirruccello.”

No word yet on who might appear in the female cast, which could hit the Palace stage this summer.

The current previewing production is going gangbusters at the Palace, selling out last week and grossing a huge $1,907,467, a house record at the venue.

Richards, the lead producer of Glengarry Glen Ross, has a long history with the play. He was the press agent for the original production in 1984, and subsequently produced revivals in 2005 and 2012.
