Bob Dylan has released an interactive video for his classic track Like A Rolling Stone, featuring a range of US TV celebrities recreating shows while mouthing the song’s lyrics across 16 channels. View it on his official website.
Guests include Pawn Stars‘ Rick Harrison and Chumlee Russell, gameshow host Drew Carey and many others. No matter which channel the user selects, the people on-screen continue to “sing” the song, with some scenes offering references to the track contents.
Creators Interlude say they’re proud to be part of making the first-ever official video for the 1965 song. Founder Yoni Bloch says: “As a musician myself, I can’t imagine a more thrilling project to be a part of. The song has repeatedly been voted the greatest of all time, and it’s generally regarded as revolutionary, influencing both artists and popular music around the world.
“Like the song, we hope Interlude will inspire creative professionals everywhere to develop new and unique ways to tell stories through video.”
The promo has been released in conjunction with Dylan’s Complete Album Collection Volume 1, featuring 35 studio albums, six live albums, non-album singles and a hardcover book. The collection is also available as a harmonica-shaped USB stick. A Bob Dylan Bootleg Series app has also just launched, offering over 500 pieces of rare and historical content.
