The Alemany Warriors and Heritage Christian Warriors will face off in the boys basketball Warrior Classic Friday night at 8 p.m. in the championship game to crown the best Warriors in the North San Fernando Valley. The game will be played at Alemany.

Alemany’s Brandon Whitney scored 35 points and Nico Ponce had 15 in a 95-68 win over West Ranch Wednesday night at Heritage Christian. West Ranch’s Jonah El Farra led the Wildcats with 19.

Heritage Christian defeated Calabasas 94-60. Skyy Clark scored 33 points and Max Allen added 25.

Notre Dame 84, Saugus 80: Brandon Perez led Notre Dame with 23 points. Saugus guard Adrian McIntyre’s triple-double wasn’t enough, tallying 33 points, 13 rebounds and 10 steals for Saugus in the Pacifica Tournament.

Long Beach Poly 68, Crespi 55: Freshman Mike Price scored 29 points in the Celts’ loss.

Taft 90, Cleveland 47: Ramel Lloyd scored 27 and Demetrious Calip had 19 for Taft in its West Valley League opener.

Granada Hills Charter 56, Chatsworth 48: Andrew Keshishian and Jason Glass each had 15 points for Granada Hills. Andrew Henderson scored 20 for Chatsworth in the West Valley League opener.

Westlake 79, Ventura 51: Kyle MacLean continues to pour it in for the Warriors – scored 26 in the win.

Sun Valley Poly 83, North Hollywood 35: Joshua Gregorio and Julian Cruz each had 20 points for the Parrots.

Canyon 57, Royal 55: Brandon Boldroff had 11 points, 5 assists and four steals, including a steal and game-winning lay-up at the buzzer. Royal’s Billy Hofer scored 27 points.

Paraclete 76, Delano 64: Amado Coleman scored 30 for Paraclete.

Village Christian 90, Sylmar 75: Jordan Fuller scored 26 and Matt Lee added 23 for the Crusaders.


Royal 62, Thousand Oaks 52: Katie Messer tallied 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Jordyn Daniels scored 19 points in the loss for the Lancers.

Granada Hills 69, Chatsworth 15: Haylee Aiden had 11 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks for the Highlanders. Taylor Yoshino added 12 points, including four threes.

Chaminade 53, Village Chr. 38: Washington-bound Alexis Whitfield led the Eagles with 17 and Jasmine Rodriguez had 14.
