Adrianne Lenker has announced Live at Revolution Hall, a massive 43-track live album taken from three days of her 2024 “Bright Future” tour. The album arrives on April 24th; meanwhile, she’s also revealed the new song “happiness.”
Referred to more as a “sonic documentary” than merely a live album, Live at Revolution Hall features renditions of songs from Lenker’s 2024 album Bright Future, her 2020 projects Songs and Instrumentals, her 2018 debut Abysskiss, and her lengthy catalogue with her band, Big Thief. She’s also added performances of five new, unreleased tracks: “happiness,” “oldest,” “ripples,” “i do love you,” and “no limits.”
Bright Future was recorded by close collaborator Andrew Sarlo across three shows at Revolution Hall in Portland, Oregon in June 2024. Several songs were recorded as performed throughout the evenings, with others taken from behind-the-scenes moments. It will be released digitally and on double cassette (limited to 500 copies) on April 24th.

In a statement, Sarlo refers to Live at Revolution Hall as “another generous offering from Adrianne:” “Clocking in around 120 minutes featuring songs and vignettes recorded exclusively on reel to reel and cassette tape, there was an attempt to create a different spin on what a live album could be. Recorded over the span of three-days while on the “Bright Future” tour, we put friendship at the focal point making this a loving memento from one friend to another. Consider closing your eyes, getting cozy, and listening as if you are watching a film! (active listening is rewarded by uncovering layers of details within the captures…) Happily listening.”
She’s offered “happiness” as the first preview of Live at Revolution Hall, and the track radiates with warmth. Lenker narrates with a minimalist kind of detail: “A clover/ fluorescent snow/ gasoline, coffee/ look at you, big enough/ for happiness,” she signs in majestic clarity. Listen to “happiness” below.
